Level 2 Hard Drive Recovery
Firmware, PCB & Bad Sector Failures
A Level 2 recovery covers the failures hiding between “healthy drive” and “clean room case”: the drive spins up quietly but isn’t detected, reports the wrong capacity, freezes your computer the moment it’s connected, or degrades with spreading bad sectors. These are electronic and firmware failures — invisible from the outside, unfixable by software, and precisely where most computer shops hit the wall and ship your drive away. We resolve them in-house with direct firmware-level access.
⚠️ Stop running scans and “repair” tools on a drive that’s slow, freezing, or intermittently detected. Those symptoms usually mean bad sectors are spreading or firmware is failing — and every deep scan forces the drive to hammer away at exactly the areas that are dying. Power it down and bring it in.
WHAT LEVEL 2 COVERS
Failures You Can’t See or Hear
The drive sounds normal — no clicking, no grinding — but something between the platters and your computer has failed. These are the Level 2 cases we handle daily.
Drive Not Detected
Wrong Capacity Reported
Freezes the Computer
Spreading Bad Sectors
PCB / Electronics Failure
A power surge, wrong adapter, or short circuit killed the drive’s circuit board. The drive shows no signs of life — but the platters and your data are untouched.
