Data Recovery

When a server goes down, a RAID array fails, or a NAS stops mounting, the clock is running and the data is often the business itself — client records, financials, case files, patient data. We recover failed business storage entirely in our own laboratory — never outsourced, never shipped away — with HIPAA-compliant handling, documented chain of custody, and business-priority turnaround. Trusted by companies from Fortune 500 firms to local practices across the region since 2011.

Business Systems We Recover

From a single failed server drive to a multi-drive array holding your entire operation — reconstructed at the parameter level, in-house.

RAID Arrays

RAID 0, 1, 5, 6, 10, and nested configurations. Failed rebuilds, multiple drive failures, controller loss, and array reordering — reconstructed by determining the original parameters. RAID recovery →

Servers

Physical and virtual servers, boot failures, degraded arrays, and OS-level corruption. We recover the data whether the server still powers on or not.

WHY BUSINESSES CHOOSE US

What Matters When It’s Your Company’s Data

  • Your data never leaves our lab. Every case is worked in-house in Montgomery County, PA. No outsourcing, no shipping to a third-party facility, no gap in the chain of custody — which for regulated data isn’t a convenience, it’s a compliance requirement.

  • HIPAA-compliant handling. We work under a Certified HIPAA Security Professional and provide Business Associate Agreements and documented chain of custody on request — essential for medical practices, law firms, and financial organizations.

  • You speak to the engineer. Not an account manager or a support queue. The person reconstructing your array is the person you call — which matters when decisions have to be made quickly on a downed system.  In Philadelphia speed and security is critical to companies in Old City, Rittenhouse Square, Manayunk, Society Hill and University City.

  • Business-priority turnaround with honest timelines. When your operation is down, we prioritize accordingly — and we tell you plainly what’s achievable rather than promising a date to win the job and missing it while your business waits.

  • Transparent, firm quotes. A firm quote before any work begins, no charge beyond the diagnostic if we can’t recover the data, and no surprise fees — so you can make a decision and, if needed, justify the cost to leadership.

  • Forensic capability when you need it. Write-block imaging, court-ready reporting, and expert testimony for cases where the data loss becomes a legal or insurance matter. Learn about our forensic services →

REAL BUSINESS RECOVERIES

Trusted With Operations on the Line

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Brought to the them a completely failed 10TB drive which had rendered all of my family photos, media and business information inaccessible. The drive was formatted as a Raid 0 to increase the likelihood of the inability to recover. 4 weeks later I have all of my info restored. Along the way the team was responsive to every inquiry or message, even over the weekends. The cost of which was 40% lower than Corporate companies.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“Short: Don is excellent at his job. Recovered everything lost on two old RAID 0 mechanical drives that had been fried by a power surge. Would recommend to anyone who would like to retrieve lost data.

Long: Don went through a huge amount of effort with my drives that presented a particular challenge. Don had to fix the original issue the power surge caused, problems another data recovery place caused, and returned the damaged drives in working condition. After recovering the data it was transferred to an external drive included in the price he gave. When I arrived to pick it up he gave me time to look through the data he recovered so that I could verify everything was there. Don truly knows what he is doing I would recommend his services for any size job. His prices are fair, he is professional, and just seems like a nice guy. He will also offer you help if you need it setting up a better backup solution.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I had a main drive failure on my server at one of my stores. Don did a great job of retrieving the lost data and we were up and running in less than 24 hours. They were fast, professional and did a great job.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“We were in the middle of a network upgrade when one of my main storage servers decided to up and die on us. The server contained a lot of archived files as well as some profiles which would have been very difficult to replace. Don brought back all of the data which I was convinced was lost forever.”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

“I called Don in an absolute panic. Our business lost ALL of its data on a RAID hard-drive configuration. I explained the severity of the situation. He promised he would work day and night to recover our data, and he did. If it were not for Don, I would have lost 2 years of work.”

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Business Recovery FAQ

Not before the array is imaged with hardware that can handle bad sectors. A rebuild forces every remaining drive to read every sector at full load for hours — and those drives are usually the same age, batch, and wear as the one that just failed. A second failure mid-rebuild is the most common way businesses permanently lose a server. Image the drives first, then rebuild from the images. If a rebuild already failed, stop and don’t run it again — call us before the array degrades further.

Yes. Data stays in our Montgomery County laboratory and is never outsourced, so the chain of custody is never broken. We work under a Certified HIPAA Security Professional, provide Business Associate Agreements and documented chain of custody on request, and securely erase our copy of your data after completion. This matters for medical, legal, and financial organizations where a data breach carries regulatory consequences.

We offer business-priority handling for cases where operations are down, and we’ll give you an honest timeline up front rather than a convenient one. Some logical and array-reconstruction cases move quickly; physical failures requiring donor parts take as long as they take to do safely. Tell us your situation and deadline when you call, and we’ll tell you plainly what’s achievable.

Yes. We recover data from virtual machine environments (VMware, Hyper-V), SAN and NAS devices, DROBO systems, and complex nested RAID configurations. Virtualized and enterprise storage add layers of complexity on top of the underlying drives, and reconstructing them correctly requires both the recovery of the physical media and an understanding of the logical structure on top of it.
Every case starts with a $106 diagnostic per device (tax included), applied toward a successful recovery. Server and RAID recovery is quoted after diagnosis based on the number of drives, the array complexity, and the type of failure — always as a firm written quote before any work begins, with no charge beyond the diagnostic if we can’t recover the data. See our pricing page for details.

Server Down? Every Hour Counts.

Do your research and be mindful of the companies that advertise data recovery.  Avoid data recovery malpractice and speak directly with the engineer who will recover your system — not a sales queue. We’ll give you an honest assessment of what’s recoverable, what it will take, and how fast, so you can get your business back online.
