Unplug it and stop. When a drive is clicking or beeping after a drop it usually means the heads can’t read the servo data written on the platter — often a head failure rather than platter damage, and frequently recoverable, but only if the drive stops. Every additional power cycle risks the heads contacting the recording surface, and when that happens magnetic material comes off the platter and doesn’t come back. Don’t put it in the freezer, don’t run recovery software over it, and don’t let anyone open it outside a certified clean room.

Power it down and stop. Don’t rebuild the array, don’t initialize anything, and don’t let anyone swap a drive in to see what happens. A rebuild forces every remaining drive to work harder than it has in years, and if a second drive is already degraded — common, because drives bought together tend to fail together — the rebuild is what destroys the array. Keep the drives in the same order and bring us all the originals labeled in order, or the entire server.  We sign NDAs as requested and execute Business Associate Agreements where health data is involved.
