THREE CHECKS, UNDER TWO MINUTES
What a Listing Can’t Fake
All three work on us as well as on anyone else. Run them before you hand a drive to anybody.
1. COMPARE THE STREET NUMBERS
Not the names, not the ratings. The numbers, digit by digit, including any unit or suite letter. Where two results share a building, they are one door with two signs, and calling both is calling once.
Ours: 630 Freedom Business Center Drive, Floor 3, King of Prussia, and our office is on the sign board
2. ASK WHAT EQUIPMENT IS IN THE ROOM
A certified clean room with a class number and a certificate to prove it, precision-matched donor parts, firmware and service-area tooling, imaging hardware built for the purpose. None of that is on a repair bench, and no repair shop has any reason to own it. A company that has it can describe it without hesitating.
Our answer: a certified ISO Class 4 clean rooms, PC-3000’s, DeepSpars, Micro soldering labs, DFL’s, and matched donor inventory, etc..
3. ASK FOR THE CERTIFICATE, AND READ THE NUMBER
ISO 14644-1 runs 1 to 9, lower is cleaner, each step about ten times. “ISO-certified” with no number tells you nothing — Class 9 is roughly an ordinary office, and “Class 100” comes from a standard withdrawn in 2001. The document should name the testing firm, the class, the date and the signatory.
Our answer: certificate under ISO 14644-1:2015, viewable today
HOW ONE ADDRESS BECOMES TWO CHOICES
The Second Opinion That Isn’t One
Almost everyone does the sensible thing when a drive fails: they find two or three options and compare. That instinct only works if the options are actually separate, and there is nothing preventing two listings from resolving to one building.
It happens because a street address is cheap to attach to and a laboratory is not. A national company can list itself at the address of an independent shop, which keeps its own listing at that address under its own name. The search shows both. One occupies a suite; the other shares the same address. Nothing about the results tells you they’re the same front.
So the comparison you believed you were making never took place, and either route sends the drive to the same facility — out of the state, through however many companies the arrangement involves. The chain-of-custody is lost and every hand-off adds unqualified tampering, transit, time somebody’s margin, and potential data theft, and the price is set once your only copy is already somewhere else.
Checking takes under a minute. Read the street numbers digit by digit. Note which entries carry a unit or suite letter. Put the number into Street View and read the sign over the door. If two results share a building, you had one option, and it’s worth finding a genuine second before anything ships.
EXPERIENCE THE DIFFERENCE
TWO SIGNS ON ONE DOOR, OR A LABORATORY
ONE COMPANY, ONE ADDRESS
There Is No Second Door Here
Everything above is easier to state than to arrange, so here is ours in full. Client drop-off and pickup happen at 630 Freedom Business Center Drive, Floor 3, King of Prussia, about thirty minutes from Horsham, and our name is the only one on that listing. The recovery laboratory is a secured Montgomery County facility we don’t open to visitors, because we handle medical records and legal evidence and restricted access is part of the chain of custody.
There is no partner facility anywhere in the process and your failing drive is not tampered with first by unqualified techs. Your drive is not forwarded, not shipped out of state being exposed to the risks, and not handled by a company you didn’t choose. One named engineer takes it from intake to return, and if a client or an auditor asks where the data went, the answer is one sentence with an address in it.
For the offices along the 611 and County Line corridors, the paperwork usually matters as much as the recovery: NDA on request, Business Associate Agreement where health data is involved, documented chain of custody, and recovered data securely erased two weeks after completion unless you arrange otherwise in writing. Ask on the first call and the vendor packet comes as one document rather than a piece at a time.
WHAT WE RECOVER
Office Parks, Practices and Horsham Households
Hard Drive Recovery
Hard drives that are clicking, seized and beeping from a drop; head crashes, firmware faults and bad sectors caused from media damage. Weak or faulty head assemblies replaced with precision-matched donor parts inside our certified clean rooms.
SSD & NVMe Recovery
These devices degrade while in use and develop bad sectors , firmware corruption and some times require NAND-level recovery on solid-state drives that are no longer recognized. Degraded NVMe drives require specialized hardware, not a software license.
RAID, NAS & Servers
Failed rebuilds, simultaneous drive failures and degraded arrays across the Horsham and Willow Grove office parks. Drives bought together fail together — power down and call before anyone attempts a rebuild.
OLD DRIVES & OBSOLETE FORMATS
IDE and PATA, SCSI, SAS, old laptop drives and enclosures whose connector no longer exists on any modern machine. Don’t test an old drive to see if it works — it may spin up once, and that once should be a controlled image.
Apple & Mac Devices
Macs and MacBooks with a removable SSD or hard drive, Fusion Drives, iMacs, and the MacBook models that carry Apple’s data-recovery (“lifeboat”) connector. Also Airport Time Capsule and LaCie external drives. We don’t perform board repairs on current MacBooks with soldered storage — we’ll tell you that on the first call rather than after we have your machine.
