FOUR CHECKS BEFORE YOU HAND IT OVER
What a Listing Can’t Fake
Each one has a document, an address or a name behind it. Ask them of anyone you’re considering, including us.
1. DOES THE LOCATION AGREE WITH THE ADDRESS?
A laboratory has one place and it looks the same everywhere. Where a listing’s location field and its street address name different towns — or different states — the company behind it is somewhere other than where you’d be driving. Put the street address into Street View and read the sign over the door.
Ours: 630 Freedom Business Center Drive, Floor 3, King of Prussia — the same address everywhere we appear
2. WHO PHYSICALLY OPENS THE DRIVE?
You should get a name and one building. “We partner with…” means the counter and the laboratory are two different companies, with a hand-off, a courier and a margin between them. If the person on the phone can’t name the facility, your drive is going somewhere neither of you can describe.
Our answer: Don Anderson, in our own Montgomery County laboratory, with no second company
3. WHICH ISO CLASS, AND WILL YOU SEND THE CERTIFICATE?
ISO 14644-1 runs 1 to 9, lower is cleaner, each step about ten times. “ISO-certified” with no number tells you nothing — Class 9 is roughly an ordinary office, and “Class 100” comes from a standard withdrawn in 2001. Ask for the document, not the adjective.
Our answer: ISO Class 4 under ISO 14644-1:2015, certificate viewable now
4. WHAT’S THE PRICE BEFORE YOU HAVE MY DRIVE?
A company that publishes its diagnostic and its typical range has already answered you. One that can’t quote anything until the drive is in their building has arranged the conversation so that the price arrives when your only copy is somewhere else.
Our answer: $106 diagnostic applied to the total cost, and a firm quote before any work starts

Procurement Is Usually What Costs You the Week
In a corporate market the recovery is rarely the slow part. The slow part is getting a new vendor approved while a drive sits in a drawer. A security questionnaire, a certificate of insurance, an NDA, a data handling policy, sometimes a W-9 — each arriving days apart because nobody asked for them all at once.
So say on the first call that a vendor review is coming and we’ll send the whole packet up front: certifications, insurance details, our data handling and retention policy, an NDA ready to sign, and a Business Associate Agreement where health data is involved. Recovered data is securely erased two weeks after completion unless you arrange otherwise in writing, and the chain of custody is documented from intake to return.
One more thing that matters to a compliance reviewer more than it does to anyone else: there is no partner facility in our process. Whatever you hand us is worked on by us, in one building, by one named engineer. That is a much shorter answer to “where did our data go” than the alternative, and it’s the answer you’ll be asked for if anything ever goes wrong.
WHAT WE RECOVER
CORPORATE SYSTEMS AND EVERYTHING ELSE
Hard Drive Recovery
Hard drives that are clicking, seized and beeping from a drop; head crashes, firmware faults and bad sectors caused from media damage. Weak or faulty head assemblies replaced with precision-matched donor parts inside our certified clean room.
SSD & NVMe Recovery
These devices degrade while in use and develop bad sectors , firmware corruption and some times require NAND-level recovery on solid-state drives that are no longer recognized. Degraded NVMe drives require specialized hardware, not a software license.
RAID, NAS & Servers
Failed rebuilds, simultaneous drive failures, degraded arrays and virtual machines for the businesses along Sentry Parkway, Union Meeting and Township Line. Power down and call before anyone attempts a rebuild.
ENCRYPTED & REGULATED MEDIA
Encrypted volumes (w/key) and records held under retention obligations. NDA before work begins, BAA where health data is involved, documented chain of custody, and secure erasure two weeks after completion.
Apple & Mac Devices
Macs and MacBooks with a removable SSD or hard drive, Fusion Drives, iMacs, and the MacBook models that carry Apple’s data-recovery (“lifeboat”) connector. Also Airport Time Capsule and LaCie external drives. We don’t perform board repairs on current MacBooks with soldered storage — we’ll tell you that on the first call rather than after we have your machine.
