20 MIN
AND NEVER SHIPPED OUT OF STATE
FIFTEEN SECONDS, FROM YOUR PHONE
What Survives the Town Swap
Run this on any result you’re considering, including this page. Four things can’t be templated.
1. COMPARE IT AGAINST THE NEXT TOWN OVER
Open the page, then search the same company plus Fort Washington, Horsham or Dresher. Identical pages with one word changed tells you everything: the promises on them were written for every city of every state, not for you, by somebody who has never been there.
Our mission: While we accept cases from all over, we focus on a safe and secure process for our local region, the Tri-State area, and encourage local drop-offs to minimize the risks involved with shipping and middlemen.
2. THEN LOOK FOR WHAT CAN’T BE TEMPLATED
A street address you can put into Street View to reveal the “front.” A clean room certificate naming the testing firm, the standard, the date and the technician who signed it. And the name of the person who will open your drive — a name, not a department. None of the three can be produced by changing a word in a file.
3. OURS, SO YOU CAN RUN THE SAME TEST
630 Freedom Business Center Drive, Floor 3, King of Prussia — twenty minutes from Ambler, and the same address on every page we publish. ISO Class 4 under ISO 14644-1:2015, viewable today. And Don Anderson, who answers the phone and opens the drive.

WHERE A REPAIR BENCH SHOULD STOP
A Failed Drive Is Not a Repair Job
Repair and recovery are two different trades. Repair makes a machine work again — software reinstalled, parts replaced, a failing drive swapped out. Recovery treats the drive itself as the job, and it needs a certified clean room, precision-matched donor parts, firmware and service-area tooling, and imaging hardware built for the purpose.
The two don’t overlap, and the tools of one destroy the cases of the other. Recovery software run on a physically failing drive forces hours of continuous reading across bad sectors, with no head map and no way to work around the damaged areas and target the critical data, on a drive that may have minutes left. Reinstalling an operating system overwrites the area your files occupy. Powering a clicking drive on repeatedly to see whether it comes up this time puts the heads back on the platter each attempt. None of that is a mistake in repair terms. It is standard practice, and it ends recoveries permanently.
So a physically failed drive should not go on a repair bench at all. Clicking, grinding, dropped and beeping, liquid, or no longer detected — at that point the correct next step is to stop, not to try one more thing. Every attempt after the failure spends part of what’s left, and nothing spent that way comes back.
If a drive like that has already been handed over somewhere, ask two questions before you agree to anything. What has been done to it so far — how many power cycles, whether any software was run, whether it was opened. And where does it go from here: a street address, and the name of the person who opens it. A drive that was left alone is a different job from one that has been tried repeatedly, and knowing which we’re starting from is worth more than any other single thing you can tell us.
WHAT WE RECOVER
The Cases That Need a Clean Room and Expert Skill
Hard Drive Recovery
Hard drives that are clicking, seized and beeping from a drop; head crashes, firmware faults and bad sectors caused from media damage. Weak or faulty head assemblies replaced with precision-matched donor parts inside our certified clean rooms.
SSD & NVMe Recovery
These devices degrade while in use and develop bad sectors , firmware corruption and some times require NAND-level recovery on solid-state drives that are no longer recognized. Degraded NVMe drives require specialized hardware, not a software license.
RAID, NAS & Servers
Failed rebuilds, simultaneous drive failures and degraded arrays for the businesses along Butler Pike and the Fort Washington corridor. Power down and call before anyone attempts a rebuild.
OLD DRIVES & OBSOLETE FORMATS
IDE and PATA, SCSI, SAS, old laptop drives and enclosures whose connector no longer exists on any modern machine. Don’t test an old drive to see if it still works — it may spin up once, and that once should be a controlled image.
Apple & Mac Devices
Macs and MacBooks with a removable SSD or hard drive, Fusion Drives, iMacs, and the MacBook models that carry Apple’s data-recovery (“lifeboat”) connector. Also Airport Time Capsule and LaCie external drives. We don’t perform board repairs on current MacBooks with soldered storage — we’ll tell you that on the first call rather than after we have your machine.
